How the scam works: Criminals send emails claiming the recipient failed to respond to a federal jury summons. The messages use official-sounding court language and pressure recipients to click buttons labeled “Resolve Now,” “Connect to clerk,” or “APOLLO.” The court warns that these buttons and links are fraudulent and should not be clicked.

Who is being targeted: Members of the public who receive unexpected messages claiming they have ignored or failed to respond to a jury summons.

Warning signs: An unexpected jury-compliance email; threats or urgency about missed jury service; buttons such as “Resolve Now,” “Connect to clerk,” or “APOLLO”; unfamiliar sender addresses; or instructions to communicate through links contained in the message.

What to do: Do not click the buttons or links, do not reply, and do not communicate with the sender. If you are concerned about legitimate jury service, independently contact the appropriate court using contact information you obtain from an official .gov court website — not from the suspicious message.
